I believe that Indian truck art is in itself a very unique art form. The colorful trucks turn drives on Indian highways into a fascinating visual experience of art and culture. Hand-painted patterns and motifs, quirky slogans with bold and vibrant typography are the most crucial elements of truck art. Idioms and Bollywood phrases like "buri nazar wale tera muh kaala" to "has mat pagli pyaar ho jaega" make the artwork even more relevant to the public.

 

My intention was to explore and express myself through everyday tools, whether digital or tangible, inspired by truck art. My exploration was to revamp my old shoes inspired by a Pakistani truck art artist Haider Ali.
